还记得Lean么？看过Inside.Live.com那个关于Windows Live Messenger短篇么？对那么美丽可爱的女主角就是Leah。从得到LiveSide与Messenger官方Space的消息称，Leah正在离开微软。作为第一个Blog Messenger的成员，Leah给大家所做出的贡献大家有目共睹。两年前，刚刚大学毕业的Leah加入了MSN Messenger（后更名为Windows Live Messenger）团队；一年半前，开始主要负责Messenger Blog。对于离职后的工作，Leah并未交待，只是告诉大家她将成为加州人。或许，关注她的Space是了解她最新动向的最便捷的手段。

来自Windows Live Writer官方Space的消息，最新版的Windows Live Writer已经放出。如前面所言，Windows Live Writer插件交流中心已经整合到Windows Live Gallery，目前提供的插件有：

• 为IE和Firefox增加”Blog This”扩展
• 增加表情，事件，Flickr插件等

Steven Bink目前告知他的用户：他正在测试一项能使用户在Windows Live Alert中添加水印的功能。当用户选择了这项功能，那么所有通过Windows Live Alert订阅该用户网站的订阅者收到的Messenger更新消息中将全部带有网站所有者的个性水印。 很显然，这项服务非常的酷，至少比Windows Live Alert的那个小铃铛要惹眼得多。

自从去年微软与雅虎达成协议，并经历了一段时间的测试，周三，微软与雅虎正式宣布了他们的联姻。尽管用户之前可以通过登记Beta服务实现Windows Live Messenger与Yahoo! Messenger用户的互通，而今协议的正式达成将使得任何用户都可以直接与对方网络内的用户进行方便快捷的交流。直到2006年7月12日，互通功能已经在15个市场开通。

微软与雅虎互通将拥有3.5亿用户，这显然给拥有1亿用户的AOL以当头一棒。目前，Windows Live Messenger目前在60个国家或地区拥有每月超过2.4亿的活跃用户；Yahoo! Messenger则在19个国家或地区拥有超过1.1亿的用户。

作为为最大的Windows Live系列产品插件的集散地，Windows Live Gallery今日悄然升级，其主要增加了SideShow与Windows Live Writer栏。

关于SideShow：

With Windows SideShow, you can display information from your computer onto a variety of compatible devices, such as a display in the lid of a laptop, a mobile phone, picture frame, or remote control. You can use these devices to do things such as look for your next meeting, read e-mail messages, or scan top news stories—in some cases without turning on your computer.

You decide what information appears on your device by installing gadgets to extend information from your computer onto your device. Windows SideShow is available only for computers running Windows Vista.

尽管困难重重，微软和诺基亚将组建团队共同开发移动设施上的Live搜索功能。这将是自2005年8月Nokia搜索平台开通以来的又一进展：添加Live搜索功能。结合之前微软发布的Windows Live Mobile和一些其他的移动技术比如（Call For Free），不难看出微软欲将其Internet产品推向各种设备的野心。

尽管Nokia将提供更多的Internet功能，但不幸的是美国的移动运营商依然控制着大量的内容。最近的统计显示，只有28%的手机用户通过他们的手机享用Internet功能，而这依然留有很大的发展余地，易用与实惠或许可以拉动这一前进。
